encourages members to visit the exhibit
hall.
"We intend to have an exhibit hall
where educational programs, such as colleges and vocational-technical schools,
can set up their booths and talk to our
members about the opportunities they
provide," he describes. "This event is not
only about networking and updating. It

is also about educating. Even if members
are not interested in the educational programs for themselves, perhaps they can
convey that information to their families,
employees or communities."

Winter Meeting
IOGAWV Vice President and Program
Chairman Jon Hildreth comments that
the association is expecting a large, potentially record, attendance for its 2015
winter meeting.
Among the meeting's presentations,
Hildreth says, will be an industry leadership discussion covering companies' innovations and experiences featuring:
* John Mork, chief executive officer
of Energy Corporation of America;
* Steven L. Mueller, chief executive
officer of Southwestern Energy Co.;
* John Walker, chief executive officer
of EnerVest Ltd.; and
* David Peebles of ODEBRECHT.
Hildreth reports that several local experts also will present updates on West
Virginia oil and gas issues:
* Donald B. Nestor of Arnett Foster
Toothman PLLC will give a federal and
state tax update.
* Greg Wrightstone of Wrightstone
Energy Consulting will offer a progress
report and outlook for unconventional
projects in the Appalachian Basin.
* Philip A. Reale from the Law Office
of Philip A. Reale PLLC will offer a legislative update on the AST Act and other
producer issues.
According to the association, former
West Virginia Governor Gaston Caperton
will address IOGAWV during its membership luncheon, as will:
* Ralph Madena from the USI Insurance Services of West Virginia;
* Christopher Guith of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for 21st Century
Energy;
* James L. Skidmore, who is chancellor of the West Virginia Council for
Community and Technical College Education; and
* Scott Potter from RBN.
The winter meeting will conclude with
a membership banquet on Wednesday,
Feb. 11, Hildreth continues, at which
K.T. McFarland will be the evening's
keynote speaker. McFarland has served
in national security positions during the
Nixon, Reagan and Ford administrations,
received the Department of Defense's
highest award for a civilian, and now
serves as Fox News' national security
analyst. She will discuss the rebirth of
American manufacturing, Hildreth describes.
According to Hildreth, the meeting is
well worth members' time because it provides a good environment to network

with roots in the Appalachian Basin
