Polyflow Opens Pipe Plant
To Serve Permian Basin
MIDLAND-To better serve its customers in Texas, New Mexico, and the
Mid-Continent region, spoolable pipe
provider Polyflow LLC reports it has
opened the first reinforced thermoplastic
pipe facility in the Permian Basin.
The integrated design, manufacturing
and service facility will produce Polyflow's
Thermoflex® piping, which the company
describes as a lightweight, easy to install,
and reliable product that has much lower
ongoing maintenance costs than steel or
other pipe. The company says its exclusive
polymer systems deliver unsurpassed resistance to hydrocarbons and sour environments.

possible as we support their drilling and
tie-in schedules," says Polyflow Chief

Offshore Specialist Forms Through Five-Party Merger
STAVANGER, NORWAY-Private equity firm HitecVision says it is establishing
an oil service group under the name
Global Maritime Group by merging five
companies in its portfolio:
* Global Maritime, an independent
provider of consulting services to the
offshore and maritime industries;
* Marine Contracting and Deep Sea
Installation, two engineering firms that
focus on segments within offloading,
transportation and installation of offshore
structures;
* Vryhof Anchors, a supplier of anchors and related mooring equipment for
large floating structures; and
* Deep Sea Mooring, which supplies
mooring solutions for producers and
drilling contractors.
According to HitecVision, the group
as a whole will have 650 employees and
offices in 26 countries.

GE To Maintain Turbines For LNG Export Terminal
HOUSTON-GE and Sabine Pass Liquefaction, a subsidiary of Cheniere Energy
Partners LP, have entered a $1 billion,
20-year service contact under which GE
will provide spare parts and planned inspections, maintenance services, and
around-the-clock technical support for
the gas turbines and refrigerant compressors on the first four LNG trains under
construction at the Sabine Pass LNG
export facility.
Each train will have six gas turbines
and is expected to have nominal capacity
to produce 4.5 million metric tons a year
of LNG, Cheniere says. According to the
company's website, the facility's total
capacity will equate to 2 billion cubic

feet of gas a day. Construction on the
four trains is under way, and Cheniere
reports it expects the facility will make
its first shipment late this year.
"We need the right technology and
service partner to ensure we can deliver
reliable production from our Sabine Pass
LNG export facility. Our trains will have
24 GE gas turbines that will drive the refrigerant compressors," says Keith Teague,
Cheniere's president and chief operating
officer. "GE's ability to service the equipment and provide full on-site technical
support to ensure optimal reliability was
an important factor in our selection."
