in the testing phase and is scheduled for
release in 2016, Mason reports. It has a
new operator interface design, as well as
advanced pump-off control and energy-
saving features.
"It also integrates the Well Optix™
secure SCADA-based monitoring solution
to alert users to any change in operating
conditions and give them a clear picture
of their production operations at any
time, from any Internet-connected device,
to maximize performance," he adds.
SPOC Automation also has introduced
the active front end (AFE) variable speed
drive to minimize harmonics under all
loading conditions, regardless of voltage
imbalance or source impedance. The AFE
system is electronically based, and can
correct both for low-voltage conditions
from marginal systems and the power
factor within the electrical system.
"That improved efficiency can reduce
artificial lift electricity costs dramatically,"
Mason states. "The combination of VFDs
and harmonics reduces energy consumption, minimizes downtime, and lowers
lifting costs while giving the operator incredible flexibility to control production
processes."
