Spectrum To Buy Entirety Of Fugro's Multiclient Data
OSLO, NORWAY-Spectrum ASA
has agreed to acquire Fugro's multiclient
library for $115 million.
The transaction will increase Spectrum's 2-D library in line kilometers by
115 percent and enhance its position
within the 3-D multiclient market, Spectrum says. The combined library will exceed 3 million kilometers of 2-D multiclient seismic data covering all major
sedimentary basins worldwide, Spectrum
reports. The company says the transaction
gives it stronger data for Brazil and Norway, 2-D data coverage in almost all oil
and gas regions, and attractive 3-D multiclient positions in Australia, Norway
and the Netherlands.

Select Launches Program
For High School Students

HOUSTON-Select Energy Services
and the Gainesville, Tx., Independent
School District have launched GEAR, a
program designed to help students become
college and career-ready after high school.
The program gives students access to
high quality, hands-on business training
in a variety of disciplines, including accounting, human resources, operations,
information technology and marketing,
Select relates, adding that participants
can earn scholarship money. Select is
the first company to offer the training in
Gainesville, but the partnership plans to
recruit other Gainesville companies to
the initiative.

to the workforce and their community,
and giving them the opportunity to earn

Report Offers Roadmap For Using Aerial Drones
PORTLAND, ME.-The organizers of
Commercial UAV Expo, which will be
held Oct. 5-7 in Las Vegas, have released
a report titled "5 Things to Consider
when Adopting Drones for Your Business."
The report is authored by Colin Snow,
the chief executive officer and founder
of Drone Analyst. According to SPAR

conference, the report offers key considerations for implementing a UAS program
at the enterprise level.
"The commercial market for drone
technology is poised to grow more than
