Oildex Acquires Provider Of Financial Automation
DENVER-Oildex, a service of Transzap Inc., has acquired the procure-to-pay
business of Automatic Data Processing
Inc.
The combined company, which will
operate as Oildex, describes itself as a
leader in the accounts payable and business-to-business segment of financial
supply chain automation, with 1,100 customers, a network of 50,000 suppliers,
and operation centers in the United States
and Canada. The company says its product
portfolio is uniquely positioned to meet
the advancing needs of enterprises to
manage complex financial supply chains,
particularly in the oil and gas industry.
The combination of Oildex solutions

and Automatic Data Processing's OpenInvoiceTM accounts payable automation
solution brings together unique technologies for managing the financial supply
chain and supporting financial documents
and transactions, including invoices, payments, royalty check stubs, joint interest
bills, run tickets, and gas plant documents,
Oildex says. According to the company,
this creates the opportunity for customers
to work with a single technology provider
with an adaptable technology backbone
for all data types and formats supporting

New Certification Available Through Wild Well Control
HOUSTON-Wild Well Control Inc.
has launched its exclusive well control
training certification program.
According to the company, the program
offers a complete selection of action-oriented well control training curricula, including both team and individual well
control simulator exercises. In a first for
the industry, Wild Well continues, the
certification program can provide a competency report based on the individual
simulator exercises, which can help with
human resources documentation and identify additional training requirements, if
needed.

Wellsite, Viking Combine To Offer Broader Services

BROUSSARD, LA.-Wellsite Rental
Services LLC, a provider of drilling and
completion rental equipment, and Viking
Oil Tools, a specialty fishing, throughtubing and remedial services company,
have agreed to merge to form Wellsite
Fishing and Rental Services LLC.
"Wellsite offers high quality tubulars
and associated handling tools along with
a variety of other rental items, so combining
Viking's first-class through-tubing, fishing
and remedial service lines with our expansive rental portfolio is a strategic move
for both companies," says Kirby Arceneaux,
chairman and chief executive officer of
the combined company. "This allows Well-

site to provide complete packages of equipment and field services after fracturing
operations are completed, and enables us
to more broadly compete in the drilling,
workover and completion markets."
Following the merger, the new company says former Viking President and
CEO Wes Heiskell will serve as president.
"This strategic merger is a great opportunity for both companies to expand their
product and service offerings, and deepen
their relationships with existing and potential customers across several markets,
including the Permian, Marcellus, Utica,
Eagle Ford, East Texas, and the Gulf

For Training Program

RICHARDSON, TX.-Getenergy, a global training and education resource for the
oil and gas industry, has recognized the
Society of Petroleum Engineers with its
2015 Special Association Award to celebrate
SPE's competency training program.
The society's Global Training Committee, in cooperation with International
Human Resource Development Corporation, reports it launched its skilled training and development program by creating
a new set of competency models for specific jobs in the oil and gas industry.
The online competency management
tool (CMT) allows SPE members to
assess their professional capabilities in
22 key exploration and production job
roles, SPE says. According to the society,
the CMT, which is free for SPE members,
helps users understand their desired career
path's education and development needs,
as well as to assess how their skills compare with those required.
