Matador's Billy Burt Well
Flows 1,028 Barrels A Day

DALLAS-Two Delaware Basin completions have recorded initial production
results topping 800 barrels of oil equivalent
a day, Matador Resources Co. says.
The Billy Burt 90-TTT-B33 WF No.
202H, completed in the Wolfcamp
"A"/"X" sand in the northwest portion of
the Wolf prospect in Loving County, Tx.,
flowed 1,028 boe/d. The well produced
683 barrels of oil a day and 2.1 million
cubic feet of natural gas a day. Matador
says the well had a flowing surface pressure
of 3,025 psi on a 26⁄64-inch choke.
The Cimarron 16-19S-34E RN No.
134H, completed in the Third Bone Spring
from a well pad in the Ranger prospect
of Lea County, N.M., flowed 804 boe/d,
consisting of 754 bbl of oil and 303 Mcf
a day of gas, at a flowing surface pressure
of 725 psi on a 26⁄64-inch choke.
The company says it posted a 53 percent year-over-year increase in oil production, jumping from 661,000 barrels
for the first three months of 2014 to 1.01
million barrels in 2015. Natural gas production also jumped over the same span,
going from 2.5 billion cubic feet in 2014
to 6.6 Bcf this year.

Weatherford Speeds Drilling With New Revolution® RSS

SAN ANTONIO-To help operators
reduce drilling time, Weatherford International PLC has released its Revolution®
rotary steerable system.
The new generation Revolution RSS
features point-the-bit technology that delivers clean, accurately placed and completion-ready wellbores, Weatherford says.
With advanced sensors and telemetry, the
company continues, the system gives operators a reliable method for drilling from
vertical to horizontal in a single run.
"Revolution RSS allows single-run
drilling of curve and lateral sections, as
well as high-pressure, high-temperature
and high-dogleg applications. This enables

operators to make better petrophysical
measurements while maximizing borehole
exposure to the reservoir, delivering superior productivity indexes," says Weatherford Vice President of Drilling Services
Etienne Roux.
"In the last year and a half, Revolution
RSS has drilled 284 vertical-curve-lateral
wells in a single run," Roux reports.
The system can drill in HP/HT zones
with temperatures exceeding 300 degrees
F, Weatherford says. The company adds
that Revolution's point-the-bit design and
real-time geologic control enable drilling
in a variety of environments, including
unconventional fields, HP/HT wells, deepwater fields, damaged and underbalanced
formations, and brown fields.

Unimin Sets Size Record For Fracture Sand Train
THE WOODLANDS, TX.-Unimin
Energy Solutions, together with Union
Pacific Railroad and Twin Eagle Sand
Logistics LLC, has delivered the industry's
longest fracture sand unit train. The 140car unit train, 6,200 feet long and powered
by four diesel engines, was delivered to
the Mission Rail Terminal in the heart of
the Eagle Ford Shale at Elmendorf, Tx.,
Unimin details.
"Our objective is to help customers
drive cost out of the supply chain," says
Rob Ricker, the company's general sales

manager for the southern region. "The
scale, service and efficiency achieved
with this unit train are another way Unimin
adds value as it delivers high-quality
UNIFRAC proppants to the Eagle Ford."
Unimin operates 36 frac sand terminals
in North America, Ricker notes, adding
that these include four storage and rail
transfer terminals in the Eagle Ford designed to minimize last-mile trucking to
eastern and western fields.
