On July 28, Lonestar Resources announced it had received an extra $100 million for its Eagle Ford drilling campaign,
thanks to a joint development agreement
with Dallas' IOG Capital LP. IOG has
committed as much as $100 million offthe-balance-sheet financing to Lonestar.
Bracken says his company will be able to
drill and hunt for more acquisitions without any major hits to its balance sheet.
"The joint development agreement allows us to leverage IOG's money to drill
more," he emphasizes. "It gives us the flexibility to spread our drilling capital over
a larger number of wells, which should
have positive benefits in terms of scale and
increase the number and size of acquisitions we can execute. It really allows us
to achieve our goals. We will be able to
limit our drilling to cash flow and maintain liquidity."
