Ryan Lance Of Conoco
Elected As API Chairman
WASHINGTON-The American
Petroleum Institute's Board of
Directors has elected Ryan Lance,
chairman and chief executive officer
of ConocoPhillips Co., to be its
chairman.
"Ryan
Lance's
experience,
knowledge and vision for our nation's
energy future will advance API's goal
of ensuring that our nation takes full
advantage of its enormous energy
potential," President and CEO Jack
Gerard says.
Lance is a petroleum engineer with
31 years of oil and natural gas
industry experience in senior
management and technical positions
within ConocoPhillips, and has
served as chairman and CEO since
2012, Gerard confirms. His past
executive
assignments
with
ConocoPhillips
have
included
responsibility for international
exploration and production, including
in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia;
and overseeing technology, major
projects, downstream strategy,
integration and specialty functions.
Additionally, Phillips 66 Co.
Chairman and CEO Greg Garland has
been elected to chair API's Finance
Committee. Gerard describes Garland
as having "a long record of
leadership, unique insight, and
operational knowledge of the
industry's financial landscape, all of
which will maximize value for our
members and provide guidance for
API's strategy."
According to Gerard, Garland has
more than 35 years of industry
experience in technical and executive
leadership positions within both the
oil and gas and chemicals industries,
and has served as chairman and CEO
of Phillips 66 since 2012.
"API's new board leadership team
knows firsthand how America's oil
and natural gas industry creates jobs,
generates revenue for the government,
and makes our nation more energy
secure," Gerard comments.

Babst Calland has named Scott K.
McKernan and Krista-Ann M. Staley
shareholders, while Callie E. Waers has
joined the firm's Charleston office.
McKernan, a member of the firm's
energy and natural resources and mineral
title groups, focuses his practice on
matters involving natural resources and
energy law with an emphasis on transactional matters relating to acquiring
and developing oil and gas leases, and
rendering oil and gas title opinions.
Staley, a member of the firm's public
sector, and energy and natural resources
groups, focuses her practice primarily
on municipal law, with an emphasis
on land use and land use development
issues. She frequently works with
drilling and midstream companies on
land and roadway use issues related to
Marcellus Shale development.
Waers joined Babst Calland's
Charleston office as an associate in
the litigation and energy and natural
resources groups. Her practice focuses
primarily on representing oil and gas
companies in all forms of litigation,
ranging from arbitration to state and
federal courts.

Southwestern Energy Co. has appointed Bill Way president and chief
executive officer. Way also has been
elected to the Board of Directors.
Way joined Southwestern in 2011
as executive vice president and chief
operating officer. As part of the company's succession planning, he was
promoted to president in December
2014. Before he joined the company,
he was senior vice president of the
Americas for BG Group PLC. Previously, he held various senior leadership
and technical positions at ConocoPhillips.

Danos has hired John Danos, Marc
Distefano and Jack Roszelle to leadership positions.
John Danos serves as construction
division general manager, working to
develop best practices for the way Danos
executes projects in conjunction with
the company's project management
group. Before joining Danos, he held
leadership positions at J. Ray McDermott, International Offshore Services,
International Construction Group and
Harvey Gulf International Marine.
Distefano is fabrication operation
manager of the Amelia facility in Morgan
City, La., where he is responsible for
overseeing the facility and maintaining
a culture of continuous improvement.
Prior to joining Danos, Distefano held
leadership positions at Alison Marine
Contractors, Conrad Industries, Alliance
Consulting Group, Shell and Enron
Corp, as well as the U.S. army.
Roszelle joins the company as corporate quality director, overseeing quality
control and quality assurance. Before
coming to Danos, he served as vice
president of quality for Dynamic Energy
Services International LLC and area
quality manager for the Americas region
with McDermott Inc.

LITTLE

David R. Little has joined the Denver office of Steptoe & Johnson PLLC.
Little has 30 years of legal experience and joins Steptoe & Johnson from
the law firm of Bjork Lindley Little PC.
He focuses his practice on complex oil
and gas contracts, tort and regulatory
matters involving oil and gas leases,
joint operating agreements, other oil
and gas contracts, royalty payments,
surface use issues and oil and gas operations.
