retire effective Sept. 1. Henke has
served as NMOGA president for six
years.
"I am grateful to have had the
opportunity to serve an industry that
means so much to our country and
state," says Henke, who spent 34 years
with the Bureau of Land Management
prior to joining NMOGA, including the
last nine as district manager in
Farmington, N.M.
"Fortunately, NMOGA has a great
staff and actively engaged member
committees to serve the industry in
these demanding times," Henke adds,
pointing to the impact of low oil and
natural gas prices on the communities in
which the industry operates, on
employment, and on state and local
budgets. He also mentions "many
adverse regulatory proposals that have
emerged in the final two years of the
current administration."
NMOGA Chairman Cliff Brunson of
Hobbs, N.M., says, "Steve did a
tremendous job of developing strong
relationships within New Mexico, and
has provided outstanding leadership
during his time as president."
Brunson adds that NMOGA has
begun a national search for Henke's
successor. ❒

Kelly Robbins Becomes
Executive VP Of AGCAC
LITTLE ROCK, AR.-J. Kelly
Robbins has resigned as executive vice
president of the Arkansas Independent
Producers & Royalty Owners
Association. In an April communique to
association members, Robbins said he
was to become executive vice president

of the Associated General ContractorsArkansas Chapter effective May 1.
"It has been an honor to work with and
for each of you, and to represent a vital
community composed of hard-working,
innovative risk takers who provide so
much to local communities, our state and
nation," Robbins told AIPRO members.
"AIPRO is a wonderful organization
representing an important industry and
an even better group of individuals. Our
success and positive presence have been
possible only because of the support
and involvement of our members. At
just eight years old, the association is
still relatively young, and with the
downturn in activity and market prices,
we must guard against allowing the life
and vitality of our efforts to slip away,"
Robbins writes. "It is imperative that
AIPRO continue to be present, credible,
active and engaged. To do so will take
each of you and your ongoing support.
"Please know that I will continue to
be supportive of our state's oil and
natural production community,"
Robbins concludes. ❒
