High-End Housing Available For Permian Basin Workers
LUBBOCK, TX.-Boron Capital has
opened a facility it says offers the highest-end workforce housing available in
Midland for oil company employees.
The Corporate Ranch offers twice the
amount of space in the common areas as
a traditional man camp, 30-year composition roofs, eight-and-a-half foot ceilings,
textured sheetrock walls, real hardwood

cabinets, china sinks, fiberglass showers,
and similar infrastructure to stick-built
housing, Boron describes. The firm says
the ranch is designed to keep employees
energized as they work long days.
"We have stayed fully occupied since
opening, and have the demand to maintain current rates, but as an effort to
show our commitment to the local companies, we have adjusted our
prices to do our small part to
support the oil industry in
the Permian," says Blake

Liberty Lift Opens Facilities
To Boost Service Capacity
HOUSTON-To expand its presence in
the artificial lift installation and service
sector, Liberty Lift Solutions LLC announces it has opened three facilities.
The first is in Bakersfield, Ca., and
consolidates two service operations in Bakersfield and Taft, Ca., Liberty details. Located at 10131 S. Enos Lane, it is managed
by Dave Whitman.
The second facility is in Hobbs, N.M.,
and will be managed by Trey Aguilar,
while the third is in Oklahoma City and
will be managed by Garrett Archa and
Colton Oldham, who Liberty describes
as industry veterans specializing in gaslift products.

President Bobby Evans. "While Oklahoma
City initially will focus on gas lift and
Hobbs principally on pumping unit service,

TGS, Schlumberger Team To Survey Gulf of Mexico
ASKER, NORWAY-TGS and Schlumberger report they have begun acquiring the
Revolution XII and XIII surveys in the U.S.
Gulf of Mexico. The surveys will cover
4,442 square miles (306 blocks) in the
Green Canyon, Atwater Valley and Ewing
Bank protraction areas of the Central Gulf.
The Revolution XII and XIII surveys
will be acquired using the Schlumberger
WesternGeco Q-Marine point-receiver marine seismic system combined with the

proprietary multivessel, dual coil shooting
acquisition technique, which Schlumberger
says will provide broadband, long-offset,
full-azimuth data.
This combination of leading-edge technology and technique will improve illumination and imaging of the subsalt and other
complex geologic features, they add.
Acquisition is expected to complete in
late first quarter of 2017, with final processed
data available in early 2018.

MUTTENZ, SWITZERLAND-Clariant
has purchased oil field chemical companies
Kel-Tech Inc. and X-Chem LLC.
The acquisitions add $200 million of
sales, as well as personnel, technology and
expertise to Clariant's North America activities, and accelerate the growth of its oil
and mining services business unit, the
company says.
Kel-Tech manufactures and supplies
specialty chemical products for production,
stimulation, and drilling applications
throughout the onshore United States, and
has its headquarters in Midland, Clariant
notes. The company says X-Chem, headquartered in Irving, Tx., provides specialty
chemicals for producing, completing and
stimulating onshore and offshore wells and
pipelines.
"Both of these acquisitions allow us
to strengthen our position in one of the
world's largest specialty chemicals markets, to benefit from the strong, innovation-driven growth perspective of the oil
services industry in North America, and
are accretive to our earnings from year
one on," says Clariant Chief Executive
Officer Hariolf Kottmann.
