Environmental and geotechnical consulting firm GZA has named James
Watson as an associate principal and
as vice president of Laurel Oil & Gas
Corp., a GZA affiliate.
Watson has 25 years of industry experience focusing on oil and gas field
operations management, drilling, completions, workovers, well control and
executive management. Before joining
GZA and Laurel, he served as director
of unconventional operations for Abarta
Energy and as Ohio drilling operations
manager for Gulfport Energy Corp. ❒
Insurance broker and risk management firm Marsh has added three managing directors to its U.S. energy headquarters in Houston.
Rick Dowling joins Marsh as national energy client and market relationship leader. Dowling has 30 years
of energy industry experience, including
roles in claims, risk management and
brokerage services. He comes to Marsh
from Lockton, where for the past 15
years he led its energy casualty and environmental team in Houston.
Karey Vaught has 20 years of energy
brokerage experience, most recently as
Lockton's executive vice president in
Houston.
James Arcidiacono will serve as
Marsh's U.S. energy sales leader. He
has 30 years of energy experience and
joins Marsh from Lockton, where he
served as a senior vice president.

Produced water handler Goodnight
Midstream LLC has expanded its team
to support growth initiatives in Texas
and New Mexico.
Coby Washburn joins Goodnight
Midstream in the newly created position
of vice president of business development. Washburn served most recently
as vice president of commercial and

business development at Energy Transfer
Partners. Before ETP, he was vice president
of business development at Regency Energy Partners, where he worked on acquisitions totaling more than $7 billion.
Co-founder Robert Rubey has assumed
the role of chief commercial officer, and
will be responsible for marketing, sales,
solution development, and customer service. He has been instrumental in growing
Goodnight Midstream's North Dakota operations, which now handle 100,000 barrels
of produced water a day through 150
miles of gathering lines connected to 18
company-operated saltwater disposal wells.
In addition, Goodnight has hired Ralph
Tijerina as manager of health, safety,
and environment, and Lana Dial as director of human resources. Tijerina most
recently served in a similar role with
SandRidge Energy Inc., while Dial worked
as human resources manager at Regency
Energy Partners and human resources director at Balfour Beatty Construction. ❒
Capstone Turbine Corp. has appointed
Paul Chase vice president of manufacturing.
Chase brings 30 years of experience in
manufacturing, quality, purchasing and management to his new role. Previously, he
served as director of nuclear quality assurance
for Ruhrpumpen Incorporated Industrias
E.G. S.A. de C.V., a producer of centrifugal
pumps for industrial applications.

Foothills Exploration Inc. has appointed
Ritchie Lanclos vice president of exploration and Eleazar Ovalle vice president
of geology and geophysics at its wholly
owned subsidiary, Foothills Petroleum
Inc. (FPI). Lanclos and Ovalle also will
serve as executive vice presidents of
Foothills Exploration.
Lanclos has expert reservoir knowledge
of South Louisiana, Gulf of Mexico Shelf
and deepwater subsalt basins. He joins
FPI with more than 25 years of experience
in exploration and development, including
petroleum engineering roles with Noble
Energy, Nexen Production, Cimarex Energy, Dominion E&P, Texaco E&P, Petrobras America, and Conoco.
Ovalle has 35 years of experience in
exploration and development, including
regional mapping in both the shallow
and deepwater Gulf of Mexico with an
emphasis on salt canopies, diapirs and
identifying salt feeder stocks. He spear-

headed development of a technologybased proprietary exploration methodology that FPI will apply. Ovalle has
served in geologist positions with Apache
Corp, ENI Petroleum, Maxus Energy,
Houston Energy, Cimarex Energy,
Mariner Energy, Petrobras America,
and Transco Exploration.

Oil field logistics and freight management company 1845 Oil Field Services has promoted Robbie Ballard to
president and chief operating officer.
Ballard has served in executive operations roles at 1845 since joining the
business in 2011. His prior experience
includes five years with a distribution
operation, where he was responsible
for a fleet of 150 power units. Before
that, Ballard built a commercial heating,
ventilation and air conditioning company
with 60 employees over the course of
15 years.

Denbury Resources Inc. has named
Chris Kendall to succeed Phil Rykhoek
as president. Kendall joined Denbury
as chief operating officer in September
2015, and will continue to serve in that
role until a successor is named.
Kendall has 27 years of oil and gas
experience, holding a variety of technical
and leadership roles in the United States
and abroad. Before Denbury, he spent
14 years with Noble Energy, most recently
as senior vice president of global operations services. His previous assignments
at Noble Energy include vice president
of the Gulf of Mexico, as well as business
unit manager and vice president of Noble
Energy Mediterranean Ltd.

Lime Rock Partners has promoted
James Wallis to managing director and
Oliver Phillips to vice president. Both
are based in the firm's Houston office.
Wallis joined Lime Rock in 2007
and has played a leadership role in several investments in U.S. exploration,
drilling and production companies, as
well as investments in the global oil
field service sector.
Phillips became part of the firm in
2011 and has worked in Lime Rock locations worldwide as a key member of
the team executing oil field service and
exploration, drilling and production investments.
