EcoStim Enters Oklahoma With Gas-Driven Frac Fleet
HOUSTON-EcoStim Energy Solutions
Inc. says it has expanded its pressure pumping operation into one of the fastest growing
and most active oil and gas regions in
Oklahoma by executing a one-year contract,
with an option for a second year, with a
well-capitalized and established exploration,
drilling and production company.
The customer plans to employ an
EcoStim well stimulation fleet to complete
roughly two wells a month, with the
number of wells to increase if a second
rig is deployed, EcoStim details. Each
well is expected to be completed with
17-20 stages, a task the company calculates
will require 40,000 hydraulic horsepower.
EcoStim says it owns 77,000 HHP, with
32,000 in Argentina and 45,000 HHP in

the United States.
In addition to conventional diesel-powered pumping units, EcoStim says its fleet
includes turbine-powered units, which reduce costs and emissions with their ability
to run on natural gas, compressed natural
gas or liquefied natural gas.
"We are excited to deploy advanced,
environmentally efficient, and cost-effective
pumping technology in the North American
market," says EcoStim Chief Operations
Officer Bobby Chapman. "We believe this
region of Oklahoma offers us the ability
to demonstrate the cost savings associated
with turbine-powered equipment, including
the ability to run on field gas."

Affordable Software Suite Enables Better Decisions
TULSA-NeoFirma has launched business intelligence and analytics software it
says will help independent oil and gas
companies improve operational efficiency
and optimize spending.
The solution enables small independents to understand asset performance, identify trends, and optimize production by tapping business intelligence
capabilities previously reserved for
larger companies with more IT resources, NeoFirma says. The company
explains that it delivers its solution on
the cloud, eliminating the costs associated with on-site hardware and software.
The software provider adds that it uses
modular components to avoid costly
implementation cycles and enable rapid
adaptations to client-specific data and
business needs.
The solution brings disparate data-

such as land, geoscience, engineering
and accounting information-together for
timely analysis, NeoFirma says. According
to the company, the solution also offers
rich data visualization, interactive dashboards, and Web-based analysis tools
normally only available on PCs, including
pivot tables and mapping.

Danos' Amelia, La., Site
Now Foreign Trade Zone
GRAY, LA.-Oil field service provider
Danos' 367-acre integrated services complex in Amelia, La., has been recognized
officially as a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ)
by U.S. Customs and Border Protection,
Danos reports. The facility is the ninth
FTZ in Louisiana and one of 179 active
FTZs in the country, the company notes.
FTZs are secure areas within the United
States that are considered to be outside
U.S. Customs territory for tariff purposes.
By providing businesses with a way to
defer, eliminate or reduce federal import
duties when bringing foreign materials
into the country, the company says FTZs
make U.S.-based companies more competitive in export markets and encourage
multinational firms to establish U.S.based operations.
"With this new status, Danos can offer
customers a duty-free storage and staging
location for imported materials," says Eric
Danos, the company's executive vice president. "Because the FTZ site is integrated
with both Danos' fabrication facility and
material management center, we are able
to integrate projects in a unique way that
provides increased value to our customers."

Nine Enlists MiX Telematics To Improve Vehicle Safety
BOCA RATON, FL.-Nine Energy
Service Inc. has selected MiX Telematics'
fleet management solution to ensure its
fleet fully complies with the upcoming
Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's electronic logging device mandate.
Nine is implementing MiX Fleet Manager and MiX Vision, an in-vehicle video
monitoring solution, to improve safety,
efficiency, compliance and security in its
fleet of light- and heavy-duty trucks, MiX
details. The company says it provides all
its customers with Service for Life, services

The TOMCAT™ fully composite fracture plug from
TEAM Oil Tools LP uses
high-strength composite
components to provide
dependable, durable and
cost-effective zonal isolation during multistage
completions, TEAM says. The compact plug is made of machined composite material
with composite upper and lower slips, the company reports. It emphasizes there are no
metal components. Pump-down kits allow for run-in speeds exceeding 500 feet a
minute, and the plug's ceramic buttons do not damage mill/bit bodies during plug drillouts, TEAM says. For information, visit www.teamoiltools.com.

designed to help customers optimize returns
on their telematics investments.
"We knew we wanted to go beyond
just basic compliance and really leverage
fleet management and monitoring for the
safety of our employees, as well as for a
competitive advantage," says Brett Quigley,
Nine's director of fleet and Department of
Transportation compliance. "As we explored
options, MiX Telematics stood out for its
emphasis on Service for Life and its integrated in-vehicle video, a crucial piece of
the safety puzzle."
According to MiX, in-vehicle cameras
provide visual evidence to improve driver
coaching and determine if subrogation is
required in the event of a vehicle crash.
The company says its product maintains
72 hours of footage for each vehicle and
automatically adds links to video clips
within driver safety scoring reports to
help fleets identify drivers who need additional training, prevent crashes, and ultimately reduce insurance rates.
