beyond 160,000 psi, is the desire of operators in the Gulf of Mexico to reach
40,000 feet with coiled tubing and still
carry 20,000 psi operating pressures," reveals Dale Klink, Quality Tubing's vice
president of strategic initiatives. "We
have not reached that goal yet, but QT1400 will allow us to get to 37,00038,000 feet. That length is sufficient for
most of the Gulf prospects that are nearing
the point where they will need to be
completed."
