The net result of the "rediscovery" of America's premier oil province is a doubling of daily production volumes since 2007. With 500-plus drilling rigs hard at work in both conventional and unconventional geology, well servicing operations at full throttle, and ingeneous CO2 EOR projects under way, the Permian Basin's oil output continues to build toward the peak achieved in the 1970s.
