Permian Basin Petroleum Museum, Library and Hall of Fame
Located at 1500 W. I-20, on Midland's southern edge, the petroleum museum has great exhibits that tell the story of the oil
and gas industry's rich history. It also is home to the Chaparral Gallery, which features the revolutionary race car designs of
Midland native Jim Hall.
Golf in the Permian Basin
For die-hard golfers visiting the area, there are four public golf courses to entertain those of every skill level. In Odessa, one will

Down the road in Midland, Hogan Park golf course features the 18-hole Roadrunner and Quail courses, along with the 18-hole,
links-style Nueva Vista course found in west Midland.
Museum of the Southwest
Located at 1705 W. Missouri Ave. in Midland, the museum inspires discovery, interaction and exploration of art, science,
culture and history, enriching the lives of people of all ages. Founded in 1965, the Museum of the Southwest has been serving
the Midland community for more than 50 years.
Odessa Meteor Crater Visitor Center

crater is the largest of several smaller craters in the immediate area. It was created when a huge meteor composed of nickel
and iron slammed to earth in prehistoric times. The natural landmark is among the largest impact craters in the country.
Commemorative Air Force Museum
At 9600 Wright Dr., near the Midland International Airport, the museum has a fascinating collection that includes beautifully
restored aircraft, World War II memorabilia, and other historical treasures that embody our nation's rich aviation history.
Stonehenge Replica
It is no longer necessary to visit Great Britain to see Stonehenge. Just drive over to the northeast side of the University of
Texas of the Permian Basin and visit the life-size replica a group of local history enthusiasts created back in 2002. About
20 stone blocks modeled after the ancient megalith in Southwest England were placed on carefully laid foundations. The
university is at 4901 East University in Odessa.
