Gulf Publishing Acquires 109-Year-Old Oildom Publishing
On May 1, Gulf
Publishing Company announced
the acquisition of
Oildom Publishing Company of Texas, Inc. to create the world's largest
independent media company devoted to the international energy and
infrastructure industries.
Through the acquisition, Gulf Publishing Company enhances its presence in the midstream and utility sectors with three well-known industry
trade journals and two major industry conferences.
"The addition of Oildom is part of our strategic plan to expand as the
leading provider of business and technical knowledge in the global oil,
gas and utility industries," said John Royall, president and CEO of Gulf
Publishing Company. "We are the go-to resource for our clients and
Oildom's people, products and services are an excellent complement to
our organization as they extend our global leadership to the midstream
and utility sectors."
Last year, Gulf Publishing Company's management team completed a
buyout of its energy information business from its former London-based
parent to create an independent Houston-based company. The company continues to publish its three energy magazines including World Oil,
Hydrocarbon Processing and Gas Processing, and through its manage-

ment buyout added the London-based oil and gas business and strategy
journal Petroleum Economist. Today's acquisition of Oildom adds
Pipeline & Gas Journal, Pipeline News and Underground Construction to
Gulf Publishing Company's portfolio.
Gulf Publishing Company also produces events and data intelligence
for the energy industry. The acquisition of Oildom includes the Underground Construction Technology International Conference for those
involved in building and maintaining underground infrastructure, and
the Pipeline Opportunities Conference, the only event dedicated solely
to the pipeline industry.
Family-owned Oildom Publishing was founded by the grandfather of
Oliver Klinger III, who retired as owner and president through the acquisition. He will remain involved in a consulting and advisory capacity.
The acquisition was led by Royall and Houston investor Russell Denson, with financing from Main Street Capital Corporation (NYSE: MAIN.)
Denson is a veteran of the publishing industry and serves as chairman
of Gulf Publishing Holdings, the parent company of Gulf Publishing
Company.

(MWRD) has proven its
commitment to accurate and transparent
accounting practices.
The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States
and Canada (GFOA)

Budget Presentation
Award for its 2016 Budget - and for the 32nd consecutive year. Representing the
highest form of recognition in government budgeting, the award demonstrates
the effectiveness of the budget as a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide and a communications device. To qualify, an organization's budget
documents must be rated proficient in all four categories and 14 mandatory
criteria within those categories.
Also reflecting long-running streaks, GFOA awarded Certificates of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by state and local government, for the
fiscal year 2015 Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFR) - to the MWRD
organization for 41 consecutive years, and its Retirement Fund and Retiree Health
Care Trust for 23 and 9 consecutive years, respectively.
Established in 1889, the MWRD is an award-winning, special-purpose government agency responsible for wastewater treatment and stormwater management
in Cook County, IL.

CASE Construction Equipment dealer OCT Equipment donated a
compact track loader and excavator to Team Rubicon for demolition
of a Korean War veteran's house that was deemed uninhabitable.
The initiative is led by Honoring America's Warriors and will lead to
the construction of a brand new home for Harold Edwards and his
wife, Minnie, through a partnership with Central Oklahoma Habitat
for Humanity.
Edwards served in Korea from 1950 to 1953 in the 1st Marine
Division. Scotty Deatherage, the director of Honoring America's
Warriors, became aware of Edwards' situation and assembled a
coalition of veteran organizations and construction companies to
do the work. Midwest Wrecking, Northeast Landfill and McRoof OKC
provided additional support for the project.
"This reflects the work we do in disaster zones," said Anthony
Lawson, state administrator for Oklahoma, Team Rubicon-Region VI.
"Our goal in these operations is to demolish the remaining structure,
clear the lot and get the homeowner in a position to rebuild as
quickly as possible. While this wasn't a disaster, the home belongs to
a man who gave selflessly to this country - helping him clear the lot
and get into position to rebuild was the least we could do."
Team Rubicon heavy equipment operators have been trained
as part of a partnership with CASE. Service projects like this house
demolition give the operators valuable time in preparation for actual
disaster response deployments.
"The partnership with Team Rubicon allows our dealers to make a
real and lasting impact in their local communities," said Scott Harris,
vice president-North America, CASE Construction Equipment. "OCT
Equipment did just that by donating the equipment that helped this
great coalition of groups make a real difference in the life of Harold
Edwards and his wife."
