and author of "Joyful," will kick off the show with
her presentation "Aesthetics of Joy."

BREAKING

THROUGH: THE FUTURE OF HEALTHCARE DESIGN

The final phase of Healthcare Design magazine's conceptual design competition, Breaking Through, will take place at HCD
Expo. The two finalist teams will present their concepts on stage
and then attendees will vote for their favorite via a live polling app. The winner will be named immediately and receive a
$10,000 prize. (A gallery featuring many of the concepts submitted to
Breaking Through will be on display in the expo hall.)
