Torrey Pines Scientific Programmable Chilling
Incubators
Torrey Pines Scientific announces its EchoTherm™
Programmable, vibration-free chilling incubators to
improve the rates of success for protein crystallizations.
The incubators can be programmed to vary temperatures precisely from one set point to another repeatedly in a programmed routine thus increasing the success
rates of protein crystallizations. The oscillations in
temperatures from one point to another have been
shown to create favorable crystallization pathways.
Temperatures are settable from 4.0°C to 70.0°C. The
units are Peltier-based for heating and chilling. They
have no compressors or CFCs and are vibration-free
making them ideal for doing protein crystallizations.
There are three programmable models with chamber
sizes of 27.5 liter, 55.0 or 100 liter. They are settable to
0.1°C from 4.0° to 70.0°C and are accurate to ± 0.1°C.
Three programs can be held in memory with 10-steps
per program. All programs can be made to repeat from
1 to 99 times or infinitely, if wanted. The 27.5 liter unit
chambers are 12" high by 10" deep by 14" wide and come
with two stainless steel racks with room for four. The 55.0
liter unit chambers are 24" high by 10" deep × 14" wide and
come with four stainless steel racks with room for six, and
the 100 liter models have chambers of 24" high by 20" deep
× 14" wide and come with 4 racks with room for six.

Belt Scraper Blade is New Option on
DynaClean Conveyors
Dynamic Conveyor Corporation, a manufacturer of
easy-to-clean conveyor systems for the food processing and
packaging industries, now offers an optional scraper blade
on DynaClean sanitary conveyors. The new scraper blade
helps remove bulk food product carry back and prevent
it from falling off at various points on the conveyor. Bulk
product, especially sticky food product, can adhere to the
conveyor belt and be difficult to release at the appropriate
time; therefore, resulting in product loss, various housekeeping and conveyor maintenance problems.
The new scraper blade compliments the simple design
of the DynaClean conveyor line. The scraper blade
offers an uncomplicated design with stainless steel
components and food grade materials that limit crevices
and opportunities for bacteria growth.
The scraper blade is made of FDA-approved materials and
has been certified by the USDA for use in food processing

take AC line inputs from 100VAC to 265VAC, 50/60 Hz
and converts that to 12 volts DC for the units, AC line cord
for the country of use, user's manual and full 12-month
