Lake Erie, Ohio:
Getting There Is Half the Fun

There's so much to do in Ohio's Lake
Erie Shores & Islands, we can't possibly
capture everything in two days! However,
we've done our best to create a fun-inthe-sun summer itinerary with a few of
our favorites.
Day one begins with one of Lake Erie's
most popular destinations, Put-in-Bay.
Whether you prefer a leisurely ferry ride or

a quick catamaran, getting there is half the
fun! Choose from:
* Miller Ferry. Departing from
Catawba, Miller is the only vehicle
and passenger boat line to Put-in-Bay.
* Jet Express. Departing from Port
Clinton and Sandusky, Jet Express
offers high-speed ferry service to both
Put-in-Bay and Kelleys Island.
* Goodtime I. Departing from
Sandusky, enjoy a relaxing day
of island-hopping to both Putin-Bay and Kelleys Island on a
narrated cruise.
Once docked, you will embark on a sightseeing tour on the Put-in-Bay Tour Train,
with stops at some of the island's most
popular attractions: The Butterfly House,
Heineman's Winery & Crystal Cave, and
Perry's Cave Family Fun Center. Enjoy
lunch at one of the island's many eateries!
From local perch to tropical fare, delicious
options are available to satisfy almost any
palate. Before departing, take the elevator
up to 352 feet above Lake Erie at Perry's
Victory and International Peace Memorial.
Once back on the mainland, we will view
historic aircraft and vehicles at the Liberty
Aviation Museum before a catered dinner
in the museum's hangar.
Begin day two with a thrill and challenge at a state-of-the-art escape room
at Ghostly Manor Thrill Center. After
you "escape," enjoy exploring downtown
Sandusky. Stroll along the waterfront,

Next, you'll hear the thundering water
up close and personal at Journey Behind
the Falls. Discover the ancient story behind
"Niagara's Fury" and relive the experience
in this 360-degree, multisensory theatre. 
If you haven't already, be sure to check
in at Fallsview Hotel and enjoy some free
time before enjoying dinner and a show at
Greg Frewin Theatre-home to the grand
master of magic! When it's time to wind
down, you will have an epic view from your
room overlooking the falls.
Wake up to the rushing sound of Niagara
Falls on day two and enjoy breakfast at
your hotel. "Take off" on one of Niagara
Helicopters' majestic tours and soar above
the epic falls! If the helicopters aren't flying
that day, you can make more than 2,000
new friends at the Butterfly Conservatory.
Experience the renowned Niagara
Icewine Festival with a winery tour and
tasting in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Take
some free time and get lunch in downtown
Niagara-on-the-Lake before returning to
Niagara Falls to drive through the Winter
Festival of Lights on the Niagara Parkway
and Dufferin Island. With a new, $4 million
lighting grid that offers twice the light with
82 percent less energy, you will see Niagara
Falls in all its brilliance!
Brighten your evening with the
Illumination Dinner Package-dinner
at Elements on the Falls with a visit to
the Illumination Tower to change the
falls' colors!
