Stearns, Hoffman Structures, Western Partitions and DeaMor Other Key Professionals: Green Building Services and Daly-Standlee The Oregon Military Department’s new Armed Forces Readiness Center at Camp Withycombe in Clackamas County, Ore., is a 250,000-square-foot facility serving the training and readiness needs of 1,300 soldiers of the Oregon Army National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserve. The $72-million facility shows Oregon’s commitment to today’s soldiers, their families and the community and honors the past service of the 41st Infantry with museum-quality exhibits and a Memorial Quad that provides spaces for private reflection. The seven-story facility provides 264 living quarters for the 1,056 sailors permanently assigned to a naval vessel home-ported at Naval Base Coronado. Twin housing towers surround a single-story lobby. Each tower features a large roof terrace. The terraces and lobby spaces are designed to showcase expansive views of the Pacific Ocean and San Diego Bay.
