Michael P. Sanderson, P.E., PTOE, LEED AP (F)
International President
Michael Sanderson is president and chief executive
officer of Sanderson Stewart. Recognized in 2014 as
America's Small Business of the Year by the United
States Chamber of Commerce, and twice recognized
by the Zweig Group as one of the Best Firms to Work
For in the Architecture/Engineering industry,
Sanderson Stewart is an award-winning multi-disciplinary community planning, engineering, and
design firm with employees in Montana, Colorado, Idaho, and
North Dakota.
Michael is an ITE Fellow and has served in numerous ITE leadership
roles, formerly serving as president of the Montana Chapter, Intermountain
Section, and Western District, and as an international director. He serves on
the executive committee of the Transportation Consultants Council. Michael
was the organizer and founding chair of LeadershipITE, ITE's premier
leadership development program.
Michael earned his bachelor of science and master of science in civil
engineering from Montana State University, a master of business administration from the University of Montana, and he has studied executive
management and leadership at the Harvard Business School.
Michael lives in Billings, Montana with his wife, Sara, and two children,
Quinn Rose and North Henry.

Bruce Belmore, P.Eng., PTOE, AVS (F)
International Vice President
Bruce Belmore is passionate about transportation
and strives daily to make our communities a better
place to live, work, and play. As the director of
Western Canada Transportation Planning with WSP,
Bruce is regularly involved in projects and trying to
innovate with transportation solutions. With 30
years of experience in the transportation industry,
Bruce has had the pleasure of undertaking a broad
range of projects to improve mobility and safety. He is proud to have
recently completed the traffic and parking management plan for Mosaic
Football Stadium in Regina, SK, Canada where there has been an emphasis
on changing public travel demand behavior.

Bruce holds a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) designation and is certified as an Associate Value Specialist (AVS). Through his
AVS certification, Bruce has applied value engineering principles to many
different types of transportation projects where trade-offs in transportation
functionality are being assessed. Bruce has also spent six years as an adjunct
professor instructing in Engineering Law and Ethics at the University of
Regina, and he believes there is a strong need to mentor those entering the
transportation industry. Bruce has had the pleasure of working with nearly
1,000 undergraduate engineers on their future role in society and their
obligation to protect public safety.
Bruce has served ITE as the Canadian District President and most
recently as a Director on the International Board of Direction. He is now
looking forward to serving in the role of ITE International Vice President.

Shawn J. Leight, P.E., PTOE, PTP (F)
Immediate Past International President
Shawn Leight has a true passion for ITE and for the
transportation profession. Shawn works to improve
communities by forging relationships and advancing
forward thinking solutions. During his time in
elected leadership, Shawn has worked to put ITE
"Out Front" as a thought leader in transportation
issues; the go-to place for transportation information; and a dominant provider of networking and
professional development opportunities.
Shawn is the vice president and a principal owner of CBB Transportation
Engineers + Planners. His expertise is in the development of multimodal
solutions that "make transportation work." He has played a key role in
innovative projects such as the reconstruction of I-64 in St. Louis, Missouri,
USA (AASHTO's 2010 America's Best Transportation Project). He is an
adjunct professor of transportation engineering at Washington University in
St. Louis, where he has taught since 2003. Shawn's work has been featured
on KMOX and St. Louis Public Radio as well as in St. Louis Magazine
and the River Front Times. He obtained his bachelor of science from the
United States Military Academy at West Point and his master of science
from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Follow Shawn on Twitter
