ONE ITE Update
This column provides updates on the ONE ITE
effort, which is an examination of the membership experience-how ITE can enhance this
experience, increase consistency, better meet
member expectations, attract new members,
and effectively support our leaders, volunteers,
and members across all levels of ITE-all while
ensuring our long-term sustainability.

be added as a non-voting representative on
the International Board beginning in January.
For the Sections, the International Board
approved the final version of the Section Bylaws
and Charters. The Board passed a motion that
will allow the Section Boards to use the model
bylaws to form their Section bylaws and to
approve them, without going to a vote of their

membership. This is the exact same process
that was used for the Districts to form and
approve their bylaws. ITE staff will be working
with the Districts and the Sections to provide
comprehensive timelines and clear direction
so that there are new bylaws prepared for all
the Sections, ready for District approval, by the
spring of 2020. These documents will become
effective on January 1, 2021.

ONE ITE transitions continue to take place
across ITE Districts. The Florida Puerto Rico
District transition committee has agreed
upon the boundaries for the creation of
four new Sections within the state of Florida
and will provide transition plans for each by
the end of June 2020. The new Great Lakes
and Canadian Districts both had their bylaw
documents approved by the International
Board at the November Board Meeting, completing the approval process for all District
documents. The Mountain District leadership
continues to meet on a regular basis as they
develop a new website, form committees,
and prepare for the joint Western and Mountain Districts Annual Meeting in Honolulu, HI,
USA in June, 2020. The Missouri Valley Section is preparing for their transition to the
Missouri Valley District and Andy Swisher will
