PEOPLE IN THE PROFESSION
Member Updates
Paul E. Basha, P.E., PTOE (M) recently retired
as transportation director, City of Scottsdale,
AZ, USA. Paul has returned to consulting
traffic engineering and transportation planning now working full-time for Summit Land
Management. Paul will continue teaching
traffic engineering undergraduate, graduate,
and workshop courses as a faculty associate
for Arizona State University.
Martin R. Engelmann, P.E. (M) has joined
Stantec as transportation planning manager
for the San Francisco Bay, CA, USA region.
Martin worked for the Contra Costa Transportation Authority in Walnut Creek, CA, USA for
nearly 30 years as deputy executive director
for planning, where he oversaw the growth
management program, countywide transportation plans, bicycle plans, modeling, and
corridor studies.
Preston W. Hitchens (M) has joined Imperial Traffic & Data Collection as their business
development manager/traffic engineer in
their Cherry Hill, NJ, USA office. Preston, a
former president of the ITE Mid-Atlantic
Section and Mid-Colonial District, will be
responsible for developing the public sector
market for Imperial in the mid-Atlantic region
of the United States.

passed away on March 6, 2019.
