Introduces Newest Pump
MINNEAPOLIS, MN.-Wanner Engineering Inc. is introducing the T80100
Hydra-Cell® sealless pump for applications
such as saltwater disposal and injection,
bulk transfer, hydraulic lift, and steam
generation.
According to Wanner Engineering, the
pump offers flow rates as much as 3,300
barrels a day at pressures as great as
1,500 psi.
The T80100 pumps are "packing-free,"
and have been designed to replace horizontal multistage centrifugal pumps and
packed plunger pumps in oil and gas applications, the company states.
Featuring a sealless, multiple-diaphragm design, T80100 pumps eliminate
hazardous pollutants, and cleanup and
disposal costs of packed-pump leakage,
Wanner Engineering says. The design
also eliminates the need for external lubrication and maintenance, as well as
plunger wear problems associated with
packing.
In addition to no leakage, T80100 Series pumps can run dry without damage,
will operate with a closed or blocked
suction line, and can pump abrasive fluids
effectively.
Wanner Engineering reports these performance features enable the pumps to
compete with conventional plunger pumps
by lowering ownership costs, reducing
maintenance needs, and providing a longer
service life.
"We believe in our new model T80100
so strongly that we have instituted a
unique beta program for the pump's first
customers," says John Wanner, vice president of new product development. "Should
a customer experience pump failure, we
will have a replacement delivered in two
business days with all shipping costs paid
for."

Weatherford's COI Tool Boosts Fracture Analysis
HOUSTON-Weatherford International
PLC has launched its Compact oil-base
mud microimager (COI), a slim-profile
tool it says delivers full-bore, high-definition images in wells drilled with oil-,
diesel- or synthetic-base muds. The tool's
4.1-inch diameter enables deployment in
a wide range of geometries, including
narrow, horizontal and highly deviated
wells.
According to the company, the COI,
which joins its Compact suite of formation
evaluation measurement tools, features
eight pads with 72 total measurement
electrodes that provide optimum coverage.
The images can be enhanced further

through Weatherford Reveal 360TM image
processing, which uses structural and textual information in the measured parts of
the image to reconstruct any gaps between
pads, Weatherford says.
The COI was deployed with other
petrophysical measurement tools in an 8
¾-inch, oil-base mud well in Latin America, the company says. It reports the COI
captured superior images of the geology
compared with incumbent technology,
enabling detailed fracture analysis and
stratigraphic interpretation. As a result of
the image and interpretation services,
Weatherford says, the operator was able
to reduce reservoir uncertainty and optimize
the completion design.

Milestone Obtains Facility For Eagle Ford Disposal
HOUSTON-Milestone Environmental
Services LLC has acquired an oil field
waste facility under construction near
Smiley in Gonzalez County, Tx. The facility will add to Milestone's footprint in
South Texas' Eagle Ford region.
Milestone describes itself as an innovator and one of the first U.S. companies
to commercially use slurry injection, a
process the company says has set new
standards for efficiency and environmental
security in managing oil field waste. Intervale Capital acquired Milestone, which
was then known as American Disposal

Global Tubing LLC has opened a
service center in Midland to support coiled tubing and coiled line
pipe customers in West Texas,
New Mexico and Southwest Oklahoma. The company says services provided at the facility
include spooling, tubing inspection, repairs, certified welding,
pressure/hydro testing, new
string installation, and on-site
tubing storage and inventory. The
facility will maintain an inventory
of tubing strings optimized for
downhole operations typical in
the region as well as Global Tubing's new coated coiled line pipe product, the company
