Marinette County offers exciting whitewater rafting adventures on the incredible
Peshtigo River, just thirty minutes northwest of Crivitz. The Peshtigo is a river of
many faces, appealing to almost anyone's ability level. The roaring rapids section of
the river, well known for over 100 years, provides outstanding whitewater action,
and one of the longest continuous stretches of whitewater rapids in the region.
Whitewater rafting season officially opens in the early spring, with Class III-IV wild
water beckoning adventurous souls.

If you prefer a milder ride, late spring and summer is the season when more moderate flows make the river just right for the first
time rafters, families and scout groups. There are still plenty of fun rapids, just a milder ride. Whitewater Rafting companies in
Marinette County are dedicated to offering solid instruction, and the latest in safety equipment. A variety of options are available
including half-day trips, camping and other amenities.

Our Region features a variety of beautiful and
unique public art displays; take a drive around and
see how many sculptures, statues, murals and
landmarks you can identify. Snap a selfie at each
and share it on your next social media post. In
Marinette enjoy the flower pots with metal fish
sculptures and 5' long mahogany walleye benches. Add to your fun
by following the sculptures and monuments around town (see page 36).

If you're looking for a fun place to spend a few hours with family or friends while
soaking up the best that fall has to offer, Getzloff's Corn Maze is definitely
worth checking out. Just a mile off US 2/41 in Wilson (see map page 34).
There's the corn maze of course, and the hay ride, but they've also got a hay
stack for the kids to play on (and jump from), a "corn sandbox," a tractor made
of hay (to climb on), a pumpkin patch, concession stand, a huge slide and, for
the younger kids, a "mini-maze" made from hay bales.
