FLOWERS FRESHLY KEPT Keeping your flowers fresh throughout the day: • Your flowers should arrive in small vases or small plastic bags. Keep your flowers in these containers with nice, cool water until right before the ceremony. You can also keep them boxed with cellophane, but be sure to keep them misted. • If your flowers start to droop, run the stems of the bouquets under cold water as you cut the ends at an angle. Place bouquets back into their original water and they should perk right up! • For outdoor pictures or ceremonies, take the flowers out of their containers and dry them off with a paper towel just before stepping outside, you don’t want water stains on any of the dresses. Once you’re back inside, immediately place them back in their water. • Keep them out of direct sunlight. Direct sun exposure will speed up the wilting process.
