ILMA Welcomes New Board Members
Last month at the annual meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona, ILMA
welcomed a new board member, Ann Ball, and board memberelect, Michael Damiani. Since the meeting, Damiani has received
full support in a vote from the membership and has officially
joined as a board member.
Ball is the product health and safety manager, Regulatory Affairs,
for CIMCOOL Industrial Products LLC, a division of Milacron
LLC in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has been employed by CIMCOOL
since 1988, and has worked on projects or in positions in the
areas of health, safety, environment, testing and compliance
associated with metalworking fluids and related products. Ball
has been a very active and engaged participant in ILMA activities,
including her hard work as a member of the ILMA Metalworking
Fluids Committee, where she currently serves as vice chair.
Over the years, Damiani has served in a variety of roles at
Radco Industries, from plant operations to field sales and
international sales management, before taking the reins as chief
executive officer. Damiani loves the challenges of guiding Radco
Industries through the myriad complexities in today's business
environment and is proud of product excellence achievements
that include awards from the U.S. Defense Department and the
industry.
Damiani earned a Bachelor of Science degree in
biochemistry from Tufts University with an emphasis in
neuropsychopharmacology. His initial career direction was
toward medicine rather than business, but the challenge of
taking a small family business to another level proved too
alluring.
Ball's ILMA Board term is for three years, through the ILMA
2019 annual meeting, when she will be eligible to be re-elected
for up to two more terms. Damiani is filling the remainder of
a term vacated by Eric Kielts, who resigned as a member of
ILMA's Board of Directors because he no longer is employed by
a manufacturing member. Kielts served our membership with
distinction, and he will be missed on the Board. Damiani's term
will run through 2018, and he also will be eligible to be re-elected
for up to two more terms.
A special introduction of ILMA's new president, Beth Ann
Jones, will appear in the January issue of Compoundings,
which has been completely redesigned. You won't want to
miss it!
