their next three jobs. You have to be invested here or
you're not going to fit well because your co-workers
are all invested, " Ouei says. " We make pizzas and
wings, but we also want to make a difference in our
corner of the world. I want to develop future business
owners.
" My 'why' is building leaders, my 'how' is serving
pizza, " she says, adding that they operate as " green "
as possible.
Asked about their backgrounds, Ouei says she has
an Agriculture Business degree from SAU.
" I ran a convenience store in Taylor called 'The
Station' for a number of years where Burt came in
everyday on his way to a job in the oil fields. "
They eventually got together as a couple and
decided to create something new, she says.
Adams builds beautiful artisan lamps that took
the pair to craft shows all over the South. In their
travels, they visited a lot of unique coffee shops, craft
beer houses and dining establishments where they
gathered ideas for their own special blend of all three.
They saw what they believed Magnolia needed and
brought it together in one location.

coffee bar and pizza parlor possible, but focused
on creating an " experience " for every customer.
Even the background music is chosen with a certain
atmosphere in mind.
" If you say, you had good service, that's a 'C' grade
for me, " Ouei says, " Anyone can provide good
service. I prefer you have enjoyed an 'experience.'
That's my 'A' grade. "
Mule Kick serves unique mixed drinks of their
own creation, as well as 28 different craft beers 90 percent are Arkansas brewed. Their coffees are
scientifically perfected, and they serve a variety of
pizza and wings for every appetite. They host live
music on weekends and trivia night on Wednesdays.
They were just voted " Arkansas Times 2021 Best
Outdoor Dining Experience " for the entire state.
Asked what she'd recommend to first-time diners,
Ouei says, " Try our 'Barn Burner Pizza.' You can't go
wrong with that. "
They are open every day for breakfast, lunch and
dinner and late-night for socializing around the bar
and outdoor firepit.
