1) Christopher Imber has been collecting
since the mid 1980s, when he bought a
sunburst Les Paul Studio Standard (top left).
He has since added a '91 Strat Plus Deluxe, a
'96 Strat in Lake Placid Blue, a Strat in Agave
Blue, two tie-dye Strats, a Squier Miller Lite
Strat, a '98 Artist Mod, '96 Jag-Stang, '94 Les
Paul Studio (Swamp Ash), 1980 Squier Bullet
H2, '96 Strat, a Stratosonic DV-II, Fender Sub
Sonic, a Powerhouse Strat, and a Gibson
Custom Shop ES-335. Lying on the floor is his
main guitar, which he assembled from parts.
2) John Brigham recently found this '56 Fender Deluxe (serial number D-02471) at a yard
sale. "It works great and the tweed is virtually
flawless," he said. "Just minutes before I got
there, it had sold for $5, but the buyer offered
it to me for $30!" Along with it were a Gibson
Vibra-rest vibrato in its original box, a Les
Paul pick, an unused set of Bell uke strings, a
strap, and a pickguard. "It feels like I won the
lottery!" John added.
3) Tom Hogg took this pic in his home
studio. "Like a couple of these, I was born in
Kalamazoo," he said. From left are a recent
Gibson J-35, an '81 Gurian JM, a 1980 Guild,
a '65 Gibson ES-125TC, and a '67 Epiphone
Cortez FT 45.
4) These two 20th Anniversary Custom Les
Pauls from '74 came together through a conversation between painter Craig Comstock
and client Bill Jahn. The two not only discovered a mutual appreciation for '60s blues, but
that each had one of these beauties!
5) Patrick Wilberding's collection includes
(top, from left) a 2004 Taylor 814ce, a '73
Martin D-28, an '09 Laguna, and a '92 Yamaha
G-150. Along the bottom are (from left), a '93
Regal, '94 Fender 40th Anniversary Strat, an
'07 HSS Strat, a Fender '62 Tele reissue, and a
'78 Yamaha SA-2000.
