and playout facility at People's
Television Network Inc. in the
Philippines.
Based on Imagine Communications
Nexio video servers, with Nexio
Motion content management and
Insight metadata systems, the
solution has improved efficiency at
the PTV4 news channel.
Both edit-in-place high-resolution
Velocity ESX workstations and
proxy-based Velocity PRX clients
are also included in the solution.
The integrated system simplifies
the management of the content on
and between operational areas.

Dejero Enhances
LIVE+ Mobile App
CAN: Dejero has enhanced its
LIVE+ Mobile App. The latest
version gives users greater control,
including an exposure and focus
lock feature and a simplified onscreen zoom capability.
Dejero's LIVE+ Mobile App is
suited to covering breaking news,
impromptu interviews, and live
events, and it provides a backup
system. The LIVE+ Mobile App for
iOS is available as a free download.
A license is required to send live
feeds and recorded or edited files
to server destinations.

Studio Suite Launch
USA: Avid has announced Avid
Studio Suite, a new grouping of
products to enable collaboration
between customers who use Orad
solutions and other Avid and
third-party products on the Avid
MediaCentral Platform.
Featuring integration with existing
Avid solutions, Studio Suite
includes industry-leading Orad 3D
real-time graphics, video servers,
sports enhancement, virtual sets,
and video wall solutions.
Studio Suite, together with other
elements of Avid Everywhere, aims
to address every aspect of the
digital media chain.

Lawo And L-S-B Team
For Swedish Radio
L

awo has won an EU-wide pilot
tender for a modernisation of the
infrastructure of Swedish Radio.
The initial project will see the
development of a pilot installation
using IP technology.
For the overall control system, Lawo
will use products and services of L-S-B
Broadcast.
The pilot project comprises the
regional studio of Uddevalla and the
close-by Gothenburg HUB, the latter to
serve as control centre for Uddevalla
and - in a later step - for other regional
studios around Gothenburg.
Lars Hedh, Head of R&D at SR stated:
"I am very pleased with both the
procurement process and the outcome
of it, and I am looking forward to

cooperate with a company that shares
Swedish Radio's vision of how radio
will be made in the future."
All companies participating for this
pilot installation - SR, Lawo, L-S-B have been involved in all aspects of the
project.
After the modernisation, all SR
regional studios will be able to act
independently from the central
broadcast operation with access from
everywhere in the region by using IP
technology.
The self-operators will produce their
own radio material using "instant"
newsgathering, and broadcast via their
regional antennas.
With no master control room,
reporters will be located around the

region, conducting interviews and
reporting on events, which will then
be sent to a studio or directly to the
antenna via the relevant regional HUB.

The Xtreme T10 is also suitable as a
conventional telescoping crane.
The lightweight, fast action smooth
crane features an entirely new dolly
and telescoping column to augment
the operation of the arm.
All axes of the crane arm, dolly
and telescoping column may be fully
encoded to become an integral part of
any AR / VR system.
