On behalf of the Kansas Independent Oil & Gas Association (KIOGA), let us be the first to welcome you back to Wichita and the Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center. We are pleased that you have chosen to join us for KIOGA's 79th Annual Convention. Our convention falls in the middle of election season. The White House and majority control of the U.S. Senate are up in the air, and nearly every major industry interest will be affected by the results. In addition, important state Senate and House seats are up for election. On the federal and state levels, the stakes over budgets, taxes and regulatory issues could not be higher. It is imperative that we come together as an industry to discuss the ongoing challenges we face in Topeka, Washington and around the nation. And we are fortunate to have that opportunity over the next several days. Nick Powell KIOGA Chairman Edward Cross KIOGA President Margery Nagel KIOGA Convention Committee Chair AUGUST 2016 75
