The Louisiana Oil & Gas Association has named Jordan Gleason as its
communications director and government relations associate.
Before coming to LOGA, Gleason
served as a legislative adviser and press
secretary for former U.S. Representative Charles Boustany. He also served
as deputy director of legislative affairs
during the administration of Louisiana
Governor Bobby Jindal.

Select Sands Corp. has promoted
Zigurds "Zig" Vitols from chief operating officer to president and chief executive officer. Vitols replaces Rasool
Mohammad, who is taking on a new
role as chief operating officer of Select
Sands and president of American Select
Corp., a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary.
Mohammad will be moving to Houston
during 2017 and Vitols will continue
to be based in Houston.

Harold D. Brannon has joined Sun
Drilling Products Corp. as vice president of production enhancement. He
will be responsible for all aspects of
business development involving fracture stimulation and gravel packing.
Brannon has 36 years of industry
experience. He served as vice president
of pressure pumping technology for
Baker Hughes and held technical and
managerial positions with BJ Services
and Dowell Schlumberger.
A co-author of Modern Fracturing,
Brannon was named a Society of Petroleum Engineers distinguished lecturer in 2010. He has more than 100 issued and pending patents.

MGX Minerals Inc., the owner of a
process for separating lithium from produced water, has named Marc Bruner
its chairman and the director of petrolithium acquisitions and development

for its wholly owned subsidiary,
PetroLithium Corporation of America.
Bruner founded Falcon Oil & Gas in
2005 and served as its president and chief
executive officer until 2010, overseeing
its rise in market capitalization to $3.7
billion. His other roles include founding
chairman of Ultra Petroleum, where he
helped develop Wyoming's Pinedale Anticline, and founder of Pennaco Energy
Inc., an explorer and developer of coalbed
methane properties in the Powder River
Basin that was sold to Marathon Oil for
$550 million.

DANIEL J.
SOEDER

Daniel J. Soeder has been hired as the
inaugural director for the South Dakota
School of Mines & Technology's Energy
Resources Initiative, which launched in
2014 when the school's regents approved
a petroleum systems minor.
Since 2009, Soeder has served as a researcher and technical project coordinator
with the Department of Energy's National
Energy Technology Laboratory in Morgantown, W.V., where he focused on shale
gas, tight oil, and carbon dioxide sequestration. He previously worked as a hydrologist for the U.S. Geological Survey
and as an investigator of unconventional
gas resources at the Gas Technology Institute in Chicago.

Lilis Energy Inc. has appointed Joseph
C. Daches as its executive vice president,
chief financial officer and treasurer.
Daches has 20 years' experience in directing strategy, accounting and finance,
primarily at small and midsize oil and
gas companies. Before coming to Lilis,
he served as CFO for Magnum Hunter
Resources, where he concluded his tenure
by guiding the company through restructuring, and on its emergence, was appointed co-chief executive officer by the
new board of directors.

TINA
CAMPBELL

Asset Guardian Solutions Ltd., a
provider of solutions for protecting the
integrity of process control software,
has named Tina Campbell marketing
coordinator. She will be responsible for
planning and executing both online and
offline marketing strategies.
Campbell has marketing, public relations and sales experience from roles
at Optical Express, STV Group and
ticket sales company TicketSoup.com.
She holds a B.A. in marketing from
Glasgow Caledonian University.

TETRA Technologies Inc. has hired
Matthew J. Sanderson as senior vice
president.
Before joining TETRA, Sanderson
served as regional vice president of the
western United States at Schlumberger.
He began his career there in 1997 and
held managerial roles with increasing
responsibility, including vice president
of production services.

PASSED ON
Walter Sellick, founder of Sellick
Equipment, passed on Jan. 10. Born in
1918, he grew up on a farm in Harrow,
Ontario. From 1941-1945, he served in
the Royal Canadian Air Force. In 1969,
after managing a Ford tractor dealership, he formed Sellick Equipment, a
manufacturer of rough terrain forklifts,
with his sons Howard and David.
Sellick was a member of the Harrow Rotary, former mayor of Harrow,
fireman, and chairman and board
trustee of the Harrow and Colchester
South School Board. He also served
on the board of the Equipment Manufacturers Institute (now the Association of Equipment Manufacturers),
where he helped pioneer the rough terrain forklift council.
