... Now let's make it a Tiara or a Crown... For a Tiara: Loop Do the first 5 steps, then 1. Add SIX or more beads* to the right wire and to the left wire. 2. For each side, make a "loop" with the wire then wrap the wire around itself and cut off the remaining wire. Now you have a tiara. Note: you can add ribbons to the loops on the tiara and tie them under the doll's hair to secure the tiara in place. Wrap Wire and Cut For a Crown: Do the first 5 steps the same as you did for the tiara, then 1. Add at least TEN beads* to the right wire and to the left wire. Twist 2. Join the back of the crown by twisting the wires together. 3. Cut off the remaining wire and bend the "twist" over the beads. Now you have a crown! Fold Over The "Twist" * You may need to use more beads depending on the size of the doll's head. Consider trying the Tiara and crown with a variety of colors and sizes of beads. This technique will not work with seed beads because their holes are to small. DOLL NEWS * ufdc.org 143http://www.ufDc.Org
