Merger Creates Provider
Of Natural Gas Solutions
THE WOODLANDS, TX.-Three companies-natural gas fueling specialist Thigpen Energy, flare reduction and natural
gas liquid capture solutions provider Recapture Solutions LLC, and remote power
generation expert Flex Leasing Power
and Service-have merged to create TRF
Energy Solutions. TRF indicates it will
provide remote power, natural gas fueling,
and flare reduction across the continental
United States.
"The combined company will offer
customers a natural gas solution that is
more comprehensive than any other on
the market," says TRF Chief Executive
Officer Sam Thigpen. "With the ability
to capture flare gas, use the processed
gas for high-horsepower fuel, and provide
natural gas generator power to the site
on well completion, TRF is positioned to
service the well site from drilling through
production."
TRF points out it is based in The
Woodlands and has operating locations
in the Gulf Coast, Rocky Mountains, Permian Basin, Eagle Ford Shale, Williston
Basin, Mid-Continent and Appalachia.
The company is backed by Intervale Capital, an energy-focused private equity
firm.

IOS Receives Licenses
To Thread Connections
HOUSTON-Three of Inspection Oilfield Services' pipe yards have received
semipremium or premium licenses to cut
threads.
"License granting by proprietary thread
owners is very selective," says Bobby
Lopez, vice president of casing and tubing.
"These are valuable assets for each of
our locations. They give our customers
the flexibility to remain near their drilling
and completion field activity, which results
in cost efficiencies."
IOS says it must pass rigorous quality
vendor audit and equipment requirements
before receiving a license to thread proprietary connections. The company reports
it has threading and/or repair licenses
from Atlas Bradford, GB Tubulars, HIS,
Metal One, SWTA, Tenaris, TMK IPSCO,
U.S. Steel and VAM.

To help customers limit harmful emissions from tanks, Hoover Container Solutions Ltd. has installed Thermo Oxidizer
units at its Scott, La., and Houston service
facilities. In addition to providing interior
and exterior tank cleaning services for
hazardous and nonhazardous materials,
these facilities now can clean and service
tanks that have contained volatile organic
compounds, Hoover says. The Thermo
Oxidizer units destroy VOCs by using
thermal combustion to transform them
into carbon dioxide and water, the company explains. According to Hoover, the
units are designed to eliminate 99.5 percent of hazardous air pollutants and VOCs

Water Treater Saves Money On Eagle Ford Fracture Job
ENGLEWOOD, CO.-Innospec Inc.

application of its TruCleanTM water service
in the Eagle Ford Shale.
As part of a pretreatment project for a
client seeking a more cost-effective and
safer treatment process, this first treatment
consisted of a custom-designed delivery
system that provided improved performance throughout the hydraulic fracturing

the service does not require on-site chemical reactions and has no effect on fracture

fluid performance.
