Sercel Delivers Systems
For Challenging Surveys
PARIS-Sercel reports it has delivered
two of its new-generation 508XT land
seismic acquisition systems, representing
a total of 12,000 channels, to Bashneftegeofizika, one of the largest oil service
companies in the Russian Federation.
According to Sercel, the 508XT was selected for its game-changing cross-technology (X-Tech®) architecture, which combines the benefits of cable and wireless
systems in a single platform. More than
100,000 channels have been delivered
worldwide to Sercel clients since the system's launch, Sercel relates, adding that
two megacrews are consistently achieving
record-setting production levels.
Bashneftegeofizika will deploy the system first in hilly and forest-covered terrain
where its monitoring capabilities and faulttolerant architecture will come into play,
Sercel reports. The company says the
508XT's light weight and low power consumption can be key in areas where logistics
can be challenging.
