New Materia Resins Excel In Extreme Environments
PASADENA, CA.-Materia Inc.'s
Proxima® thermoset resins provide reliable, practical and economic solutions

Proxima HTI resins for high temperature subsea thermal insulation create
an effective thermal barrier between

Proxima STR thermosets are designed

Fesenmyer Recognized
For Lifetime Of Service
BRADFORD, PA.-At its second annual Yellow Dog Award Dinner, the Penn
Brad Oil Museum honored Frederick W.
Fesenmyer, the president and chief executive officer of Minard Run Oil Company,
with the Yellow Dog Award.
The museum says the award recipient
is selected by its board of directors to
recognize outstanding service to the museum and the community at large. Fesenmyer has led Minard, which the museum
describes as the world's oldest familyowned independent oil company, since
1976. He is the great grandson of Pennsylvania Senator Lewis Emery Jr., who
established the company in 1875.
Fesenmyer served as chairman of the

Pennsylvania Oil & Gas Association from
1984 to 1989 and resumed that role from
1994 until 2010, when POGAM merged
with the Independent Oil & Gas Association of Pennsylvania to create the Penn-

Tenaris has begun operations at its
Rig Direct™ Academy, a training and
testing center located in Veracruz,
Mexico. The $14.5 million test rig facility is equipped to make full-scale

Halliburton Helps Eclipse
Complete Record Lateral
HOUSTON-Halliburton relates it
worked with Eclipse Resources Corp. to
fracture the Purple Hayes, a Utica Shale
test well with lateral length exceeding
18,500 feet. The 124-stage completion
took 24 days, Halliburton reports.
The well had a total depth of 27,046
feet, including the lateral extension, which
Eclipse says is the longest horizontal onshore lateral ever drilled in the United
States.
The fracturing operations performed by
Halliburton utilized the company's Q10™
pumps equipped with dual fuel technology,
which the company reports performed with
zero down time. Halliburton adds that
SandCastle® PS-2500 units equipped with
Halliburton dust control systems provided
superior sand loading logistics while reducing the environmental footprint on site.
The efficiencies achieved with this equipment allowed Eclipse to improve its daily
completion rate by 20 percent over the
original plan, Halliburton continues.

Eclipse team worked incredibly efficiently
on this well, setting 124 of our Obsidian®
frac plugs, averaging 5.3 frac stages per
day and achieving a North America land
record of 26,641 feet in plug set depth. We

using our complete Frac of the Future fleet,
including dual fuel pumps that reduced
fuel consumption by 40 percent."
