Architect: RNL Engineer: MKK Consulting (mechanical and electrical), Lund Partnership (civil) and ZeilerPennock (structural) Specialty Consultant: Maintenance Design Group (maintenance/equipment) and Ambient Energy (sustainability consultant) The Denver Central Platte Campus was a $28 million fixed-price design-build project for the Denver Public Works Department. The campus’ compelling design aesthetic provides state-of-the-art facilities, including an office and warehouse, vehicle maintenance building, covered and heated vehicle storage, fuel and wash facilities and salt and magnesium chloride storage. The 18-acre campus exhibits a well-organized circulation and a seamless coupling of sustainable design and superior functionality. At 105,000 square feet, the Denver Central Platte Campus is on track to achieve LEED-NC Gold certification. Base Realignment and Closure/National Capital Region Relocation Administration Facility (BRAC/ NCRRAF)—The William A. Jones III Building Andrews Air Force Base, Md. Owner: Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment Design-Builders: CDM/CAPE, A Joint Venture with construction partner Coakley & Williams Construction, Inc. Architect: AECOM Engineer: AECOM Specialty Consultants: Schnabel Engineering (geotechnical), A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (surveying and permit expediting), and Sebesta Blomberg and Associates, Inc. (enhanced commissioning) Specialty Contractors: Limbach Company (mechanical) and Singleton Electric Co., Inc. (electrical) The William A. Jones III Building is a 380,000-squarefoot, five-story facility dedicated on March 22, 2011. This fast-track design-build project required completion in just two years to meet tight BRAC deadlines for moving Department of Defense personnel from leased space in the National Capital Region onto Andrews Air Force Base. It contains flexible office space for 2,500 people with the ability to expand and contains a courts wing with the base Trial Court and the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals complex.
