The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil
and Gas Resources Management, is the sole regulatory authority in Ohio for permitting, drilling, producing and oil field waste
disposal operations. The division, under the direction of Chief
Richard J. Simmers, is divided into four regions with eight offices.
Reporting to Chief Simmers is Deputy Chief Jon Rayfield (614265-1053); Northeast Region Manager Tom Hill (330-896-0616)
with offices in Uniontown, Salem and New Philadelphia; North
Region Manager William Ziegler (740-392-4499 with offices in
