HOUSTON-To simplify regulatory
compliance for exploration, drilling and
production companies, ACS Engineering

monitoring system (CCMS) software.
The company says CCMS changes regulatory compliance from a tedious taskbased process to an unrivaled driver/regulation-based process.

From Large Independent
HOUSTON-RigNet Inc. has been
awarded a master services agreement to
deliver communications systems and infrastructure for land drilling and well
completion sites in the continental United
States and Western Canada.

Weatherford, Maersk Ally To Improve Well Control
HOUSTON-Weatherford Secure
Drilling® Services and Maersk Training
have partnered to enhance scenario-based
training and competency for critical wells.
The companies say the training will help
Weatherford, operator and rig crew personnel prevent well control events and
nonproductive time in extreme drilling
environments.
Weatherford touts its expertise in advanced drilling techniques such as managed
pressure drilling (MPD) and early kick
detection (EKD), and says its OneSync™
software platform enhances planning,
simulation and control during MPD and
EKD scenarios.
As part of the partnership, Maersk
Training will fully integrate the OneSync
platform's MPD simulator application
into its drilling simulators to enable com-

prehensive MPD and well-control planning
and scenario-based training. The partners
say Maersk's advanced simulations will
enable entire rig crews-including the
drilling contractor, operator, service
provider and third parties-to receive realistic hands-on rig and well-specific
training.

GeoGraphix Offers Tools For Minimizing Expenses

them to initialize interpretations, create

that the software allows geologists to
improve interpretation accuracy by leveraging seismic to provide interwell detail
and improve directional drilling with
easy-to-use, lightweight Web geosteering
from home, at the office or on site.
Geophysicists appreciate the software's full integration of time and depth
domains, LMKR continues. The company says they can create velocity models
using average or interval methods to
better accommodate lateral variation in
velocities, then utilize these models to
create static depth volumes, or perform
dynamic depth conversion using interwell depth point integration to
update and refresh the timedepth relationships.
