HOUSTON-Halliburton Co. has introduced
NeoCem™ E+ and EnviraCem™,
two cement barrier systems
with less Portland cement.
NeoCem E+ cement contains a 50%
or greater reduction of mass cement while
EnviraCem cement contains a 70% or
greater reduction of mass cement, Halliburton
calculates. According to the company,

named Alisha Waring its vice president
of human resources.
Waring has worked in HR for more
than a decade, developing expertise in
resolving complex employee relation
issues, overseeing HR analytics and
managing compliance matters. Before
joining U.S. Energy, she held various
HR positions at energy companies such
as Allied Oil & Gas Services and Select
Energy Services. In these roles, she was
responsible for recruiting, benefit administration,
overseeing payroll, executive
compensation, drafting and implementing
policies, onboarding employees
and training.

Comstock Resources Inc. has hired
Trey Newell as vice president of corporate
development and Lori Kanaman
as vice president of marketing. Both
roles will involve developing new markets
for the company's natural gas.
Newell has two decades of commercial,
marketing and operations experience
in the midstream industry. Before Comstock,
Newell was responsible for producer
relationships, business development,
project management, scheduling
and marketing as commercial and marketing
vice president with Trace Midstream,
Blue Mountain Midstream and

experience marketing natural gas, particularly
in the Haynesville and Permian
basins. She most recently served as vice
president of marketing at Saddle Operating
LLC. She also has worked for Exco Resources
Inc., Enterprise Products Partners
LP and El Paso Corp.

Enbridge Inc. has appointed Greg
Ebel to become its president and chief
executive officer. He succeeds Al Monaco,
who is retiring.
Since 2017, Ebel has chaired Enbridge's
board of directors. When he assumes
his new role in January, he will
remain on the board as a director.
Ebel led Spectra Energy as chairman,
president and CEO from 2009 to 2017.
He began working as Spectra Energy's
group executive and chief financial officer
in 2007. Ebel's other past roles include
president of Union Gas Ltd. and vice
president of investor and shareholder
relations at Duke Energy Corp., which
he joined in 2002 as managing director
of mergers and acquisitions following
the company's acquisition of Westcoast
Energy Inc.

J. Kevin Vann has joined Empire Petroleum
in the newly created position of
vice president of finance and strategic
planning. He will have primary responsibility
for the company's financial planning
and analysis efforts, lead Empire's
strategic planning and assist with capital
markets initiatives.
Vann has more than 25 years of energy
industry and public accounting experience

John P. Zabaneh has joined Bracewell
LLP's Houston office as a partner in the
firm's oil and gas practice. Zabaneh
began his legal career as an associate in
the corporate department of Baker Botts
LLP in Houston, and, later held in-house
legal roles with Chesapeake Energy,
Rosetta Resources, Noble Energy and
Gavilan Resources (a Blackstone-backed
portfolio company).
Zabaneh represents and counsels
clients in all aspects of acquisitions,
divestitures, joint ventures and commercial
arrangements. His experience
as a deal lawyer includes transactions
in most major U.S. resource plays for
diverse clients ranging from majors
to large independents and private equity
portfolio companies.

than conventional systems for improved
barrier dependability.
Halliburton relates it has pumped
more than 10,000 barrels of EnviraCem
cement across the Permian Basin. The
company says the system incorporates
more locally sourced, natural and recycled
materials while lessening dependence
on cement, enabling supply chain
flexibility and improving sustainability.
