St. Paul's

2014-15 record: 13-10-6, lost to Choate in
Martin/Earl quarterfinals
Players to watch: Liam Flaherty, sr., D; Giacomo
Messina, sr., D; Colin McCaughey, jr., F
Outlook: St. Paul's graduated eight seniors off a
playoff team but has lots back, especially on the blue
line, and will try to crack the postseason field again.
That's the strength heading into 2015-16. "We have
a very experienced and talented defensive unit," said
Bozek. "We would like to get our D-men involved in the
offense more than we did last year."

St. Sebastian's

Coach: Sean McCann
2014-15 record: 14-9-3, lost to Brooks in Martin/
Earl quarterfinals
Players to watch: Jack McCool, sr., D; R.J. Murphy,
F, Eric Jeremiah, jr., D; Paul McAuliffe, sr., F; Harry Kelleher, sr., F; Peter Mullin, sr., F; Mike Mackintire, sr., D
Outlook: Arrows graduated seven, including some
talented players, off a playoff team, but do have building
blocks back. Jeremiah and Murphy were All-ISL selections.
The 6-foot-3 McCool is still filling out his lanky frame but
could emerge as one of the league's top players.

Thayer

Coach: Tony Amonte
2014-15 record: 15-12-3, lost to Belmont Hill in
Martin/Earl semifinals

Players to watch: Ty Amonte, sr., F; Casey
Carreau, jr., F; Kyle Peterson, sr., D; Colin McCabe, sr.,
D; Mike Royer, sr., G; Aidan Mcdonough, soph., F; Evan
Googins, soph., F; Tristan Amonte, soph., F
Outlook: Tigers return some firepower and Coach
Amonte says the direction of the season will rest on the
backs of his veterans, including Ty Amonte, who managed a 10-30-40 line last winter and collected three
points in his team's 5-4 upset of top-seeded Brunswick
in the Martin/Earl quarterfinals. Royer will try to turn
the crease into an asset. "Goaltending was a question
mark last year," said Tony Amonte, "and that's one position we will look for improvement."

EbERHART dIVISION
brooks School

Coach: Dave Ries
2014-15 record: 18-5-4, won Martin/Earl
championship
Players to watch: Johnny Trotto, jr., G; Vito
Bavaro, sr., F; Colin Stevens, sr., D; Ford Hatchett, sr., D;
Jack Goodwin, sr., F; Henry Cormier, sr., F; Paul Capozzi,
sr., F
Outlook: Life without standout goalie Max
Prawdzik begins for the Bishops, who will turn to
Trotto in net, bank on Stevens and Hatchett on defense,
and seem to have most of the other pieces in place to
contend in the Eberhart, including the Sacred Heartbound Bavaro. "We have another deep forward group
that should provide some balanced scoring," said Ries.

"Bavaro has had a great fall and we expect him to lead
the way."

buckingham,
browne & Nichols

Coach: Terrence Butt
2014-15 record: 9-18-1
Players to watch: Chris Butler, sr., F; Mark
Addonizio, sr., F; Joe DeSimone, sr., F; Michael Bibbey,
sr., D; Sihak Lee, sr., G; Bernie McGovern, jr., F; Joey
Gilbert, jr., D
Outlook: Knights had the youngest roster in the
ISL last year, with eight freshmen and an eighth-grader. They figure to be more seasoned this year in front
of Lee, their workhorse goalie, with some good talent
up front to increase what should be balanced scoring
totals. Bibbey is an anchor in the defensive end.

groton School

Coach: William Riley
2014-15 record: 11-11-3
Players to watch: Matt Efros, sr., G; Santeri Hartikainen, soph., F; Michael Brown, sr., F; Chris Brown,
soph., F; Matt Winter, sr., F; Ward Betts, sr., F; Tristan
Smith, jr., F; Mark Gallant, fr., F
Outlook: It starts in the net for Groton, where
Efros is projected to be one of the ISL's top goalies. The
addition of Hartikainen, who played on the Finnish
team at the World Hockey Challenge, should bolster an
offense led by leading returning scorer Michael Brown.
Riley thinks his team has added depth both up front

and on defense and could climb in the standings.

Middlesex School

Coach: Joe Mallen
2014-15 record: 7-14-2
Outlook: Zebras graduated seven players from
last year's team and will try to improve on last year's
finish, which left them in last place in the Eberhart.

Rivers School

Coach: Shawn McEachern
2014-15 record: 13-12-5, lost to Westminster in
Piatelli/Simmons semifinals
Players to watch: Frank Boie, sr., D; Michael
Gurska, sr., D; Tanner Miller, sr., D; Mike Young, jr., D;
Frank Ferrara, jr., F; Charlie Lawrence, jr., F
Outlook: Rivers made a nice tourney run a year
ago out of the No. 6 seed but will need to replace eight
graduated seniors if it wants another shot. Young, who
has committed to UConn, has been a varsity player
since the eighth grade and a leader on what could be a
very strong defense as the season goes forward.

Roxbury Latin

Coach: Dave Cataruzolo
2014-15 record: 14-8-2
Players to watch: Max Ginsburg, sr., F; Ronny
Lestan, sr., F; Bryan McGrath, jr., G; Joe Doherty, jr.,
D; Max Alsaraff, jr., D; Mike Callahan, soph., D; Jimmy
Duffy, soph., F
Outlook: Former Trinity College coach Cataruzolo
