hen you think of Calor,
you probably think
of camping, right?
Or a portable heater
warming up your living room? Or (if
you've been very lucky), Calor fuelling
the barbecue on one of those rare
balmy British evenings?

Well, yes, Calor does all of those things
- it is the largest Liquefied Petroleum
Gas (LPG) supplier in Britain and part of
its business includes the blue and red
cylinders you may be familiar with. But
Calor is so much more than that - Calor
is, quite simply, its people.
In order for the company to thrive, Calor

Great question - and the answer is, lots! It
is part of the wider SHV Energy and SHV
Holding Groups, which own a diverse,
expansive and dynamic set of organisations
across the globe, ranging from industrial
services (ERIKS), to retail wholesale
(MAKRO) and animal nutrition (Nutreco).
In terms of Calor, its primary business is
the retail and distribution of LPG. Cylinder
and Bulk tanks deliver to domestic and
commercial customers who are either
located off the mains gas grid or have a
portable energy or transport requirement.
It has also started to build its presence
in the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) market,
as well as the renewables sector, and will
be bringing the first renewable LPG to the
British market from early 2017.
