After winning a business concept competition in December, startup OurFleet has received
$10,000 from The Ben Franklin TechCelerator at State College, Pa., to help it commercialize
an application for managing truck traffic at well sites. According to founder Doug Carnahan,
the app was conceived after he risked several truck accidents while he drove to and from
sites during fracturing operations. It operates much like an air traffic control system, the
company describes, adding that the GPS-based app can save users as much as $20,000 a

Baker Hughes SeismicTrak™ SWD Reduces Uncertainty
HOUSTON-Baker Hughes has released its SeismicTrakTM seismic-whiledrilling service, which the company says
provides precise measurements for reducing formation uncertainty and enables operators to hit reservoir targets
with greater accuracy.
According to Baker Hughes, the SeismicTrak service delivers real-time seismic and waveform data that allow
operators to adjust a well's trajectory to
avoid potential drilling hazards. With its
ability to detect pressure changes, potential reservoir exits and other downhole
uncertainties while drilling, the company
adds, the SeismicTrak service informs
operators of approaching formation
changes right below the bit, allowing
them to quickly change their well trajectory, adjust their mud weight, or set casing.
In highly deviated, horizontal, or extended-reach wells, the SeismicTrak
service can access boreholes that may be
difficult for wireline, reducing the need
for additional open-hole time or use of
risky deployment methods, the company
says. It goes on to note that the service
collects real-time check shot data and full
wireline-quality vertical seismic profile

data in memory for processing after
drilling to increase subsurface understanding.
Baker Hughes says the SeismicTrak
service's time/depth measurement is so
precise it drifts less than one millisecond
after 10 days. The company adds that the
service is enhanced by its borehole seismic experts, who process, interpret, and
integrate all the provided data into a complete well plan.

HOUSTON-Oildex and Quorum
Business Solutions Inc. have collaborated
to launch the Gas Plant Data Exchange,
an online platform designed to help
processors and producers share gas plant
statements more efficiently.
The partners say that on the platform,
processors will publish gas plant statements and producers subscribe to access
only relevant gas plant statement data. By
streamlining the process of distributing
and consuming that data, the partners say
the platform shortens turnaround times,
improves accuracy, reduces the need for
prior period adjustments, and increases
data visibility.
The partners add that the platform decreases the need for manual manipulation, enabling producers to more
effectively allocate time and resources for
efficient data analysis.
The partners say the collaboration
leverages their areas of expertise. They report
that

TIPSTM
processing/gathering management software has enjoyed a long-standing dominant position in managing gas processing
allocations and accounting, including the
process of generating gas plant statements.

RRC Enhances GIS Maps Of Texas Wells, Pipelines
AUSTIN-The Texas Railroad Commission has upgraded the agency's online geographic information system,
which shows statewide oil, gas and
pipeline data.
The upgrades are part of the commission's information technology modernization program to assist operators
conducting business with the commission online, and to increase transparency
of oil, gas and pipeline data, RRC notes.
Commission Chairwoman Christi
Craddick says, "The enhancements will
allow the public to better keep up with

the oil and gas industry and allow those
in the industry to more easily and efficiently access information critical to their
businesses."
Commissioner David Porter points out
some of the viewer's features. "Along
with mapping well data by county, API
numbers or street addresses, with this enhanced viewer, the public can draw a defined radius tool around a well, and it also
has a variety of printing formats," he
says.
