with red frosting and red velvet with white frosting. The small top cake was white with white frosting with an etching of red hearts. Pam and Luke’s wedding day also happened to be the first anniversary of Pam adopting Rhianna, her daughter. During the reception Rhianna gave a toast and then broke into tears of joy. The love she felt for Pam was more than words could describe. For their honeymoon, Pam, Luke, and the kids went out to Boston. The kids stayed with Pam’s parents while she and Luke traveled out to Provincetown out on the Cape. Both had found a perfect match in one another. O O she told them that she thought that Luke was “the one.” Luke, as he was leaving, called a friend and said very much the same thing. The following night Pam and Luke went out again, but this time to somewhere a little more elegant than Starbucks. They continued meeting and dating into December, when Luke decided the time was right to propose to Pam. Pam was going home to Boston to spend Christmas with her family, and Luke, wishing her a Merry Christmas, had said his goodbyes to her. Unknown to Pam, Luke had secretly made arrangements to fly out to Boston on Christmas Day to surprise her. His surprise won over Pam’s family, and when the time was right, he secretly asked Pam’s father for her hand in marriage. On December 27, Luke took Pam out for a lobster dinner at Benjamin’s Restaurant in Taunton. Red roses were on the table, and one could not have asked for a more perfect night. Luke perfected the night even more when he dropped to one knee, asking Pam to be his wife. Pam, smiling, said yes. Pam and Luke were married August 4, 2007 at the Capital Plaza Ballroom. Many family members came to the wedding from out of town: Pam’s side of the family from Boston, and Luke’s side of the family from Denver and Los Angeles. They both agreed to keep the ceremony light and fun. It was nonetheless touching and elegant. The bridesmaids wore black dresses and each carried a bouquet of white roses. Pam’s daughter Rhianna, as the maid of honor, looked stunning in her red dress, and she carried a bouquet of mixed white and red roses. Pam wore a classic white dress and carried a bouquet of red roses. The flower and dress color arrangements were her choice, as she loves the classic feel of white, black and red. Luke’s 6-year-old son was the ring bearer, and he did an excellent job of it. Pam’s “something old” was a ring given to her by a “surrogate” mother that she had known since she was 11. Her “something new” was the jewelry she had picked, and her wedding veil was her “something borrowed,” provided by a friend who helped plan the wedding. keeping with the “light and fun” theme, Pam and Luke walked away from the altar to Abba’s “I do, I do, I do.” The reception was “straight up fun,”—Exquisite Events and Entertainment provided the entertainment and music, and the party favors were shot glasses with the couple’s first names and the date printed on the front. The cake was actually an elegant cupcake tier with a small cake on top.
