Sharon Penny Sharon married her husband in Reno at the Office of Civil Marriages – a day she remembers fondly, “Surrounded by 15 of our nearest friends and family members, we crammed into a small room, and the officiant had not one but two hearing aids. When he spoke, he resembled Peter Cook in The Princess Bride ’Mawwiage, that bwessed awwangement, that dweam wifin a dweam ’ We all tried not to giggle; my father in-law had tears streaming down his face in silent laughter. To this day, you just have to say ‘Mawwiage’ to him and he'll burst out laughing.” Melissa Camilleri Magliola Melissa is a writer and high school English and AVID teacher. She has a BA in English from Saint Mary's College of California and is an MFA candidate at Antioch University, Los Angeles. Currently, she is serving as the nonfiction editor for the one-time literary compilation, The Splinter Generation. Her passions include spending time with her family, reading, dancing, teaching, writing, and traveling. She lives in Fair Oaks with her husband. Darren Elms Darren's relationship with Sierrastyle Publishing goes back to the launch of the first Style magazine back in 2003. Following a stint as their car guru, he became editor of Sierrastyle's Luxury Living in 2005. Continuing as Director of the Luxury Group, he contributes to LuxLife and acts as regional editor of Luxury Life & Style. He currently lives in Los Angeles. Rachel Gabrielle After spending 26 years in rainy Seattle, Rachel bid her friends and family adieu, all in the name of love and moved to the Sacramento area to be with her sweetie. When Rachel's not writing, you can find her at the dog park or the nearest frozen yogurt joint. Rachel holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Seattle University. Lance Hahn Lance is the Senior Pastor of Bridgeway Christian Church in Rocklin where he has served since 1998. He is a graduate of California State University at Sacramento and is currently earning his Mdiv at Western Seminary. He currently lives in Folsom with his wife Suzi, daughters Jillian and Andie, and Sammy the dog. If you never attend Bridgeway, there is a better than average chance you will run into Lance at Chik-Fil-A or Del Taco. Rebecca Black With nearly thirty years of experience, Rebecca Black—founder and principal of Etiquette Now!—is a credentialed teacher, etiquette and image consultant. She and the Etiquette Now! team design and present custom etiquette workshops for individuals and institutions.
