Soon, Kate and Eric got back together and it wasn’t long until Eric decided to propose. Kate reminisces about that beautiful day in September 2006. “We went to napa for a day of wine tasting and then to San Francisco for the night. Eric got a beautiful room at the top of the St. Francis Westin with an amazing city view.” After dinner, the two took a drive to Coit Tower, and stopped at a bench overlooking the Bay Bridge and the city lights that twinkled in the rare fogless sky. “He told me all the things that he loved about me and said he wanted to ‘do this for 20 years, 30 years, forever…’ then got down on one knee and asked if he could marry me,” Kate recalls. “It was a perfect day.” After the romantic proposal, the wedding planning began and soon the big day was at hand. “At the rehearsal, I kept crying at the part where I walked down the aisle,” Kate explains. “Our pastor said, ‘Kate, just think, look at the aisle, then the altar, then him and repeat.’ Aisle, altar, him, aisle, altar, him, I’ll alter him!
