Having a university centre on a college campus can provide a source of aspiration for those studying full-time further education courses, while providing the perfect step-up. In 2016, Vision West Nottinghamshire College officially opened the Vision University Centre as part of its main campus. It offers courses up to degree level, as well as higher apprenticeships and professional qualifications, and more than 280 students graduated from its university-level courses last year. Flexible study One of the main benefits of choosing to forgo a traditional city university in favour of studying in a college environment, especially for mature students, is being able to stay close to work and family.
